We are looking for an experienced housekeeper and live-in carer. The position will be based in Ballaugh, Isle of Man.
The role requires control of the purchase and storage of food, cleaning materials, linen and other household supplies; cooking, with an emphasis on East Asian and European dishes; management of household records for costs and outgoings, including payment of regular services such as insurances, fees, utilities, etc; attending to a variety of domestic tasks including food preparation and service, cleaning, laundry and ironing, all to a high standard; assisting senior family members with various daily tasks, including arranging meals, packing, mobility support and other personal activities; provide care and maintenance for three large dogs, including daily walks, grooming, and wellbeing management; attending to some basic outdoor duties including feeding chickens, cleaning pens, looking after the gardens and washing cars.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of domestic household management, with at least 10 years experience as a live in helper; demonstrable experience of food preparation and cooking to a high standard with a focus on Filipino and Cantonese dishes; a qualification in first aid procedures and experience in caring for the elderly; a proven track record of providing care and maintenance to large dogs; experience in maintaining household records; a qualification in accounting/bookkeeping would be advantageous; clean criminal record;a basic understanding of how a farm operates and an interest in farm life.
