Our client seeks a Statutory & Regulatory Analyst to assist their team on a 12 month contract Key Responsibilities. Prepare multiple types of tax returns ready for review by Manager for relevant jurisdictions such as IOM, UK, Malta, Gibraltar and Sweden. Support other external reporting requirements for the department such as statutory and regulatory account preparation. Develop and perform appropriate analysis to give comfort to management regarding the complete and appropriate treatment of tax dependent metrics such as gaming revenue. Be proactive in identifying and implementing initiatives within remit to improve and standardise operational processes in the Statutory and Regulatory team. Engage with and take part in improvements and project work as part of the overall team. Establish and maintain relations with key stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions. Key Skills & qualifications. Qualified accountant with up to 5 years PQE is preferred (candidates with eGaming or financial service industries are preferred). Proven experience in tax accounting for multiple jurisdictions with a demonstrable understanding of practical VAT accounting and invoicing requirements is essential. Strong attention to detail and a good level of knowledge of Excel are essential to the role. Experience with Isle of Man, Malta and UK VAT regulations is desirable. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team player with ability to work flexibly in an ever-changing work environment. Able to demonstrate a proven track record of identifying and remediating issues. Hands on knowledge of using ERP’s is essential. (This will ideally be Navision but experience of other multicurrency packages will be sufficient). Good written and verbal English language skills essential.
