Our client seeks a Financial Accountant to join their team. Role Profile: The role has responsibility for the planning & managing of the Group & Holding Company audits, including the Group Consolidation plus working across the Group & with the auditors to ensure IFRS is applied appropriately. The role is also responsible for driving Financial Control across the Group in conjunction with the Senior Finance Officer & Group Finance Director; ensuring inter-company positions are agreed, recharges are accounted for correctly & in line with the transfer pricing methodology. Key areas of focus will be the development of client intangibles calculations for new acquisitions, performing impairment reviews of existing acquisitions, developing debt provisioning methodology in compliance with IFRS 9 & the subsequent automation of these processes using the Adaptive system. The position requires close collaboration with & the provision of guidance to the finance teams across the Group Key Responsibilities: Deliver a high-quality service to internal & external clients. Deliver on commitments to agreed deadlines & to a high standard. Be interested in driving the use of Technology across the Finance team. Contribute to financial processes & systems development with clear policies & procedures documented & available in order to increase financial control, effectiveness & efficiencies across the Group. Continually seek to improve business practices ensuring that best practice is shared. The role holder is a key member of a small team & will be involved in ad hoc projects & assisting in other areas of finance as the demands of the Group & team require. Where appropriate, develop team members, share knowledge & ensure own objectives & personal development plans are in place, regular one to ones are held & ongoing monitoring of performance is completed as appropriate. Actively develop own attributes & skills through identification & attendance at appropriate events & seeking out relevant courses & qualifications. While retaining Financial Control across the Group is the main purpose of the role, it is anticipated that the position will be a varied & interesting role with involvement in a number of projects, including assisting with the integration of new acquisitions. Key Skills & Experience: The role holder will be a qualified Accountant with a strong knowledge of IFRS & its practical application. He / she will be a confident communicator with a keen attention to detail & be open & keen to share knowledge & develop understanding of IFRS across the Group. Comfortable providing effective challenge to colleagues, as well as providing advice & guidance in areas of technical expertise. Demonstrate a high level of technical competency & an ability to impart that knowledge to others effectively, with a proven track record in being able to communicate effectively with non-accountants. Able to set & meet time driven targets, motivating, supporting & providing guidance as required. Able to work with limited direction & execute appropriate strategies to continually develop the financial & operational control environments.
