Description

Our client seeks a Senior Financial Planning Analyst to join their team. Role Profile: The role is responsible for the development, optimisation & maintenance of meaningful & effective finance reporting for the Group. Key areas of focus will be the provision & development of a suite of financial MI, which drives business performance & assists with strategic decisions, including the provision of funding, capital & liquidity modelling. The Group Finance team is small & responsible for overseeing the finance reporting operations of multiple offices, requiring diplomacy, clear planning & communication skills & a style that reflects the entrepreneurial nature of the firm. The structure is flat & the role encompasses opportunities to be involved in strategic activities across financial reporting, strategic planning & ad hoc investor requests. The position requires close collaboration with personnel across the Group; working collaboratively with Technology & Operations will be critical to the role. Key Responsibilities: Provide all Financial Management Information & Business Intelligence Information & work with colleagues to manage the Budget & Performance Reporting timetable, process & deliverables. Develop & maintain the Group’s finance reporting capabilities & coordinate, analyse & report the financial performance for the Group. They will ensure compliance with MI protocols & interrogate data where warranted. Contribute to the strategic direction of the Group businesses through driving performance & identifying additional areas for performance improvement. Provide active support in relation to business, financial & operational planning, partnering departments & teams. Assist with the integration of acquisitions & their understanding of the Management Information requirements. Ensure delivery of commitments, including inputs to Board Reporting & Group Reporting, to agreed deadlines & to a high standard. Support Banking covenant monitoring, reporting processes & ad hoc requests from investors. Key Skills & Experience: Knowledge of Financial reporting. Expertise in business planning & financial analysis. Strong Financial & Regulatory reporting experience including knowledge of IFRS. Results orientated. Process expertise, potentially gained in an operational environment. Ability to prioritise competing delivery within tight timescales. Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions, diverse stakeholder & group interactions. Experience working in a dynamic environment & ability to adapt to change. Very strong excel modelling. Financial Services experience. A finance professional who can lead by example with regard to behaviours & professionalism. Diplomatic, collegiate manner in dealing with all stakeholders. Degree-level qualification. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
