Parents are being reminded to register their children for school.
Youngsters who turn five in the academic year 2019/2020 must be registered well in advance with the Department of Education, Sport and Culture.
Manager of Legal and Administrative Services Andrew Shipley says: “Pupils are admitted to schools’ reception classes at the beginning of the academic year in which they reach their fifth birthday.
“To enable schools to allocate staff and plan resources we urge parents to register their children as soon as possible.”
Information about catchment areas for schools is available on the government website.
