Miss Isle of Man finalist, Shannon Greenwood, is leaving a lasting mark following her fundraising efforts with a limited edition badge in aid of Cruse Bereavement Care Isle of Man.

Based on the charity’s logo, the delicate pins feature a pansy flower symbolising remembrance.   Designed on the Isle of Man, they can be purchased at various locations across the Island with all funds going to the charity. Selling for £2 each, a number of local business are stocking the badge including the Manx Arms pub and her sponsors for the competition DC Valeting.

The idea was born when Shannon identified that unlike many other charities, Cruse Bereavement didn’t have a pin badge.  Shannon explains:

“The competition will be finishing in August and having built such momentum I wanted to do something that has real legacy value for the charity. By buying and wearing a badge, people will be showing their support to the vital work Cruse Bereavement Care does with families and individuals on Island long after the Miss Isle of Man competition is over.”

Cruse Bereavement recently announced a push for funding following an increase in demand for their services. a push for funding following an increase in demand for their services.

Shannon continued: “I hope everyone wears their pins with pride, knowing that all proceeds are going directly to a charity where it will really have an impact.”
