Equiom aviation team sees positive trends in the sector ahead of EBACE

by isleofman.com 16th May 2017

Equiom, the international professional services provider, will represent the industry’s leading aviation experts at EBACE this year. The firm’s aviation team, led by Steve Cain, Director of VAT, will be exhibiting at stand number W51 over the course of the three days.

Alongside Steve this year, the team will include Captain John Hills, Consultant – Aviation, Jason Woodhard, Senior Manager – Business Development, Sophie Campbell, Assistant Manager - Business Development and Jim Leavey, Senior Manager - Business Development.

Steve commented: ‘We have been attending EBACE for many years and we are sending a strong team to the exhibition again this year. Our commitment to the event is a clear indication of our confidence in the market. Whilst it remains a buyer’s market, we continue to see a steady increase in demand for new corporate structuring and VAT advisory work, which is a strong indicator that aircraft transactions are on the rise.  We have also seen a market shift towards newer aircraft as they represent excellent value and it is typically easier to secure finance against them.’

Equiom’s expert team, which includes VAT and customs specialists, will be on hand at the show to provide guidance on what needs to be considered when buying, selling and registering an aircraft. In the last 12 months, Equiom received Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status which is recognised globally as a quality mark demonstrating the efficiency and compliance of a company's role in customs. AEO status is granted to eligible businesses established in the EU which are actively involved in customs operations and affords certain benefits to providers such as shorter timescales and fewer customs checks.
