On 29th June 2016 Martin Andrew Cleator was arrested at his home address on suspicion of Possessing Indecent Images of Children.
He was interviewed and charged with four counts of this offence.
This investigation has been the largest scale enquiry into the Possession and Distribution of Indecent Images of Children the Isle of Man Constabulary has undertaken. In excess of 900,000 still and moving images were involved.
Investigating and detecting these offences involves a high level of sophistication, both technically, and also working with partners such as the National Crime Agency.
The Isle of Man Constabulary will continue to target potential offenders who commit such crimes on any scale, however large or small.
