Why is Karen wearing a cape for 100 days?

by isleofman.com 12th May 2017

Carers Wear Capes is Crossroads’ campaign this year and Karen Harris, Business Support Services Manager is participating in the Superhero Challenge to clock up as many miles by walking, cycling, swimming etc in 100 days.  However to help raise awareness she has also pledged to wear a cape for the 100 days.

Karen said: ‘The Superhero Challenge is all about people having fun whilst they aim to push themselves a little bit further than they would do normally. No matter what their fitness levels are anyone can join in and if they raise funds for us at the same time then we believe that is a bonus!  Both my daughters, Trish & Kathryn are also wearing capes throughout the challenge so watch out for us around the island and in Lancashire where Kathryn lives.’

If you would like to sponsor the cape wearers please call 673103.

For more details about the challenge please visit Crossroads’ website www.crossroadsiom.org.
