Living wage not appropriate part of work permit process says Minister

A proposal for a "living wage" would not be appropriate as part of the work permit process.
That's according to the Minister for Economic Development.
The issue came up in Tynwald yesterday (Tues) following a question from Onchan MHK Peter Karran, who wanted to know if work permits should be available only for jobs which pay at least a "living wage" ?
Laurence Skelly says there is no clear definition of just what that figure may be . .
