by isleofman.com 22nd April 2015

Ramsey Town Commissioners’ chairman Captain Nigel Malpass was in the pink on Saturday April 18th when he launched the 2015 Ramsey Bra Dash in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Ramsey joined with other towns across the island in support of the campaign which is now in its 11th year and in 2014 raised more than ?14,000 for the charity.

Captain Malpass said: ‘The people of Ramsey – and of the Isle of Man – are always tremendously supportive of this campaign which is leading pioneering research in prevention, detection, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Launching the Ramsey bra dash will be one of my final engagements as chairman of Ramsey Town Commissioners before I step down after five years in office and I shall always cherish fond memories of the sense of fun and generosity of spirit this worthy cause inspires in our town.’
