The much awaited James May documentary filmed during the 2013 Manx Grand Prix will be broadcast over the Christmas Holidays.

Listed as "The Pick of the Day" in the Christmas/New Year edition of the Radio Times the one hour programme airs at 9pm on Friday 3rd January BBC2.

James May and his team built the full scale motorcycle of Meccano parts, 15,000 in all and with the assistance of Oz Clarke set out to lap the world famous TT Mountain Course during the 2013 Manx Grand Prix.

The Radio Times says: "It's the kind of retro-toy caper that is bound to appeal to dads of a certain age, but not to them alone.  It becomes an uplifting odyssey, peppered with not-faked-for-TV setbacks and walk-on roles for some kipper, a police escort and a troup of boy scouts.  In every sense, it's riveting TV."
