The MPN’s World Sit ‘n’ Go Masters (WSM) has been won by Daniel Johansson, an MPN online qualifier in the €750 buy-in Main Event final at the Card Casino in Prague.

The WSM is an offline tournament series for players on Microgaming’s poker network, the MPN, during which players must battle their way through four rounds of single table tournaments. The WSM is the only live tournament event just for Sit ‘n’ Go players and so provides a unique format to the live poker circuit.

After three days of play, Daniel Johansson, who qualified for the event through Unibet, claimed the title of World Sit ‘n’ Go Master, taking home €10,102.

WSM 2013 Winner, Daniel Johansson, says: “It was a great tournament and I am very happy to win. Playing four rounds of Sit ‘n’ Gos to reach the final was a real challenge. I would like to come back next year and win it again!”

Lydia Barbara, Head of Network Games at Microgaming, adds: “The feedback from our operators and their players on this annual event is always very positive; it’s a unique tournament with a great atmosphere. Many congratulations to Daniel for taking home the title of World Sit ‘n’ Go Master.”

Alongside the WSM Main Event, there was also a €110 buy-in Side Event which was won by Paf’s Peter Freden.

The annual WSM 2013 was held in Prague from Saturday 14th December to Monday 16th December, with players from an array of operators on the MPN taking part. More information about the WSM can be found on www.worldsitngomasters.co.uk.
