by isleofman.com 22nd August 2013
Three men have been charged by police in connection with violence during a football match earlier this year.

Two players were hurt during the Premier League game between Laxey and St John's at Glen Road on March 2.

There were tensions both on and off the pitch, with 10 players booked and two sent off.

After the game, which saw Laxey win 3-2, the FA launched an investigation as police opened their inquiries.

Three people will now face charges over the incident.

22 year old Sam Ingham is charged with causing grievous bodily harm, while John Holland aged 56 faces allegations of carrying an offensive weapon and affray.

Both men have been bailed and committed to a Court of General Gaol.

Meanwhile, 28 year old Sam Theobold has been charged with wounding with intent and bailed to appear before the Deputy High Bailiff on September 10.Clip 1
