Police appeal after broken glass found in horse paddock

by isleofman.com 22nd August 2013
Port Erin Police have received a report that broken glass is apparently being intentionally secreted in a Horse Paddock off Mount Gawne Road, Port St Mary.

Fortunately there have been no injuries to any of the animals but the consequences of a horse injuring itself cannot be understated.

Sergeant Gary Heaton of The Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team said “We take matters such as this very seriously and any person who is found to have caused injury to any animal through behaviour such as this is likely to face prosecution, it is by good fortune that the horses weren’t injured on this occasion but officers will be making patrols to the area and other enquiries to apprehend the offenders”.

If you have any information that can assist Police then please contact PC Hills  at Port Erin Police Station on 832222 or alternatively contact the anonymous CrimeStoppers Line on 0800 555 111.
