Manx food, drink and craft producers are invited to meet the operators of Isle of Man Airport’s shops and cafes.
Caterleisure Group wants to expand the range of Manx food, drink and other products it sells in both land and airside outlets.
Under the Food Matters strategy, the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture (DEFA) is organising a ‘meet the buyer’ event at NOA Bakehouse in Douglas on Thursday 2nd March, 4.30pm to 6pm.
Producers interested in having their goods sold at the airport are invited to attend with samples. These include confectionery and gift items for the shops.
They will meet Christine Thorpe, Managing Director, and Peter O’Connell, Operations Director, of Caterleisure Group.
Andrew Lees, DEFA’s Food Business Development Manager, said: ‘Food Matters recognises the importance of helping the supply chain in growing the value of the food and drink sector to the Manx economy.
‘Caterleisure Group wants to meet potential suppliers and find out what they have to offer.
‘A total of 803,825 people flew in and out of Isle of Man Airport in 2016, so producers have a great opportunity to expand sales to locals and visitors.’
