The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading wishes to make the public aware of a potential safety hazard with “griptight” standard silicone decorated soothers. The product has been sold in the Isle of Man.
The importer of the product into the UK, namely Creative Max Limited, has taken the measure of recalling the product which has been on sale since 19th January 2012.
Quality control checks have shown that the product does not meet the importer’s stringent safety standards as the teat can become detached from the soother in certain circumstances posing a potential choking hazard. There is a potential for there to be a tear in the teat which would be apparent if the soother was checked before use.
Take this product away from your baby immediately. Either return it to the shop or return it directly to the importer and a full refund will be given.
