Shoppers can't have failed to miss the seven giant wicker displays in Douglas town centre.
Now, there's an opportunity to win a prize by entering a competition. Each of the displays, created by the parks section of Douglas Council, references an aspect of business activity in the town. To enter a free draw, simply find all seven, scan the QR code on each and follow the instructions. Those without a smart device can either email the sculpture's names and sponsors email@example.com or write to Douglas Borough Council, Parks Section, Ballaughton Nursery, Douglas, IM2 1JJ, including name, address and telephone
number. Prizes are being provided by the sponsors named on the sculpture.
Chair of the regeneration and community advisory committee Councillor Stephen Pitts said: 'This competition brings together the expertise of both our talented Parks Section and the ICT team to offer something a little different; the opportunity to discover some outstanding floral displays that are not only witty but also make outstandingly creative use of some of the many hundreds of bedding
plants produced from seed at Ballaughton Nursery. I wish everyone who enters good luck.'
Entries close on September 8.
