A £75,000 project to redecorate Shaws Brow car park has gone out to tender.
Douglas councillors have agreed to the works, which comprise a less ambitious scheme than originally planned.
The car park was opened in 2004 and the cost of undertaking a full redecoration was estimated in 2010. However, the council has reduced the scheme to 'essential' work only, involving painting the metal railings, grilles, gates and exterior-facing render.
The aim is to improve the general appearance of the town centre car park.
Applications are being invited from suitably qualified and experienced contractors who are interested in being included on the list of selected tenders for the contract.
