Waves crashed onto roads and harbours during this afternoon's high tide but the conditions weren't as severe as Friday's tidal surge.
High tide was at 3pm and most roads have now been reopened, although debris is still being cleared.
Highways authorities issued extra sandbags for today's storm and warned businesses and householders to take care to protect their properties.
Members of the public were cautioned to stay away from promenades and harbours but some storm spectators got a soaking.
Tonight's Steam Packet sailing to Heysham has been cancelled and, with gale force conditions set to continue, there could be disruption to tomorrow's ferry services.
