Special trains have been laid on for this year’s Queenie Festival thanks to Isle of Man Railways.

The 09:50 departure from Douglas and the 15:50 return from Port St Mary on Saturday 30 and Sunday 1 July will be named the ‘Queenie Express’ and will include a buffet carriage selling breakfast, snacks, drinks and more including Queenies!

Tim Croft, festival organiser commented” The Queenie Express is another fantastic addition to the large number of attractions over the festival weekend, especially for anyone traveling from Douglas. The Steam railway is a great way to visit the festival and it gives people plenty of time to take everything in before heading home. It makes for a great day out.”

On arrival at Port St Mary train goers will be greeted on the platform where they will make their way to the quayside via Chapel beach and along the coastal catwalk.

For tickets or more information on the Queenie Express please visit The Tickethall at Douglas train station or call on 01624 627888.

The Isle of Man Queenie Festival takes place between 29 June and 1 July. For more information on the Isle of Man Queenie Festival please visit www.queeniefestival.com.
