Manx3 Deicer Tackles Frosty Conditions

by Manx2.com

In this morning’s frosty conditions, new de-icing rig Manx3 was on hand to help get Manx2.com’s flights away on time.  The custom designed rig has been on stand-by since mid-November and was used for the first time today.

The four-wheel drive rig was specifically built for use with the aircraft which operate on Manx2.com routes from the Isle of Man to Blackpool, Belfast, Newcastle, Leeds and Gloucester (M5) airport.

General Manager David Buck said: ‘The rig has more than enough capacity to cope with all Manx2.com’s morning departures, which will help us maintain our commitment to on-time performance.  We also have our own stocks of de-icing fluid so are well prepared for the many winter mornings to come.’
